OSCE Border Management Staff College, UNODC regional workshop in Dushanbe focuses on international and regional co-operation to combat cybercrime

DUSHANBE, 19 August 2015 – The need for comprehensive domestic legislation and other best practices on international and regional co-operation in combatting cybercrime were the focus of a third regional two-day workshop, which concluded today at the premises of the OSCE Border Management Staff College in Dushanbe. The event was co-organized by the College and the UN Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC).

OSCE Border Management Staff College hosts World Customs Organization Train-the-Trainer course

DUSHANBE, 14 August 2015 – A ten-day comprehensive train-the-trainer course for sixteen instructors from customs training institutions in Central Asia, India and Pakistan concluded at the OSCE Border Management Staff College in Dushanbe today. The course was organized jointly by the College and the World Customs Organization’s (WCO) Programme Global Shield (PGS).

Border Institute Instructors from Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan learn best practices in development and delivery of adult education

TALLINN, 12 June 2015 – Sixteen Instructors from Border Institutes of Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan successfully completed the six-month Train-the-Trainer blended learning course organized by the OSCE Border Management Staff College, the Geneva Centre for the Democratic Control of Armed Forces (DCAF) and the OSCE Centre in Bishkek.

29 May 2015 - A roundtable discussion Afghanistan - Central Asian Perspectives on Regional Security was held on 28 May 2015 in Dushanbe, Tajikistan. The debate provided a platform to discuss recent developments in and around Afghanistan and their impact on the security situation in Central Asia. Participants also exchanged ideas on national and international strategies to prevent security threats originating from Afghanistan.

Detection and prevention of trafficking of dual-use chemicals and improvised explosive devices in focus of OSCE, WCO course in Dushanbe
